With a different theme every year, this parade continues to be a crowd pleaser among the thousands of participants in the procession and many more viewers. This event truly marks the beginning of the Christmas season in Sarasota. Running for more than two decades, the Sarasota Downtown Holiday Parade is one of the events that locals in the area look forward to every year. Organized by the Siesta Key Chamber, this is one of the best family-friendly holiday events offered this season. The first 250 children in line to meet Santa will receive special gift bags. to greet all the children who have come to see him. The main event is Santa’s arrival on a fire truck around 6:15 p.m. There’s also face painting and a visit with Santa’s elves. The Light Up the Village Parade takes place at Siesta Key Village right on Ocean Boulevard and is a perfect event for the entire family.Ĭhildren will have the opportunity to give their Christmas wish lists to the man in red himself. Siesta Key Light Up the Village Parade and Holiday Open House Meet with Santa and his elves, get some holiday treats, and receive a gift bag if your child is one of the first 250 children to arrive! This event will take place in Siesta Key Village from 6 p.m. You don’t even have to leave Siesta Key to experience the Light Up the Key Holiday Parade and Holiday Open House, a special celebration that guests young and old will cherish. The Gift Market takes place from noon until 6 p.m., and SantaFest is from 3 p.m. There will be tons of family-friendly activities like face painting, gift raffles, and of course, getting to meet Jolly Old Saint Nick himself!
